1975 Jeep J20 (FSJ)
SOLD

I picked this, family owned
truck, up from Garden Valley and drove it 50 mi. to Boise Idaho without
issue. It pulled Horseshoe Bend hill with little effort and no downshifting at 55-60 mph.
It drives quite straight
until you hit the brakes and then it pulls to the left.
-
I'd guess it has about
150,000mi.
-
It hasn't seen much use lately.
-
It has headers on what I believe
is the stock AMC 360 engine.
-
Dana 60 rear 8 lug
axle
with GAWR 4090.
-
Dana 44 front 8 lug
axle
with GAWR 3500.
-
Quadra-Trac (B-W 1339)
transfer case with the full lock and low range options.
-
Auto 3 speed tranny, TH400 type.
-
The lights and gauges appear to
work.
-
All window glass is without
cracks.
-
Needs tires, brake job, and the accelerator pump
leaks a bit.
-
The drivers
floorboard has rust and the engine is covered in years of grease.
-
In
this
picture you can see where a tree was fell on the cab.
-
Speedometer glass bezel is loose.
-
Under hard acceleration when cold,
there is a knocking noise (click
here for
my guess).
These trucks were in production
for about 20 years and many of the parts from Big Cherokees and Waggoners are
interchangeable. From my readings, in 75, Jeep beefed up the frames on the
J-Trucks. Though through the production years, little changed from one
J-Truck to the next.
